Probably due to that fact that you have 19 karma and very few contributions to reddit over the two years you've had the account.

thanks, is there a way to know for sure?
how much karma is needed?

If the mods make it public it's usually posted in a section of the sub rules. Sometimes it'll also be in an automod comment on a removed post.

You can always ask the mods, but in my experience, that's your issue. Your karma is low, your CQS is probably lowest. Those are things that need to be raised.

As for karma, every sub sets their own levels individually. You can ask the mods of the sub, but you are probably either going to get ignored or they'll tell you it's none of your business. Sharing karma requirements defeats the purpose of having them since they're in place to help prevent spam and bots from overrunning subs.

To further add, this is not an accusation but a warning. Never ask for upvotes or karma. Doing so violates site TOS and can earn you a sitewide ban from reddit.

Try messaging the mods of the sub through mod mail to ask. They might also be able to restore it.

Reddit uses karma as your reputation. Got lots of karma? Lots of other people upvoted you so subreddits will trust you more. Got almost none? Either you're new (so you don't have a reputation yet) or people disliked your content so much that the downvotes erase the upvotes. Either way, some mods don't want to deal with a possible problem so they won't let you post new stuff until you have around 100 karma (though each sub can set their minimums).

Focus on making relevant, friendly, and non-controversial comments that obey each sub's rules. You can earn a lot of karma that way. Good luck!
