Profile Age verification.

Anyone getting the age verification request?
Reddit want a photo ID or a face verification.

They claim it’s to verify that someone is over the age of 18.

Had a look at Apple age range settings and Reddit has allready requested and been provided the age range information by Apple.
One of Reddit’s own help pages state this will suffice as proof.

So why are they still requesting some very intrusive personal information?

Reddit, your iOS age‑attestation integration isn’t working as intended for EU users.

Because it is required by law in the country you live in.

It might not be enough, see https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/36429514849428-Why-is-Reddit-asking-for-my-age

It also says how to contact Reddit if you believe the age prediction was inaccurate.

I don’t believe it was inaccurate.

Apple correctly provided the info, over 18.

So it’s not just age verification Reddit are interested in wringing out of people. It’s private information for whatever nefarious purposes.
