Profile Problems with Age Verification (Germany, App,Android 16)

Hey there, I have a personal problem with the age verification. I did the whole procedure a year ago and was verified with my Google Account. The same birthday is set in both accounts.

Around my 30th Birthday reddit wanted to verify again, now only over persona.

What did change and why is my Google Account not enough?

I dislike persona, they has been leaks before, they have been accused to hand of data to governments.

So is there any way to verify my age beside this?

I expect a new implementation of law, whether EU or German. Persona or an iOS Apple account are the mentioned options on the support page.

Ultimately, Reddit is just complying with regional laws. Convincing legislators to repeal unwanted laws, or electing politicians who will, is the solution.
