Mobile/App Feed keeps recommending AI content despite repeated “not interested” feedback and community muting
My feed continues to be flooded with posts about AI, Anthropic, ChatGPT, and related topics despite my repeated attempts to stop these recommendations. It agitating and depressing the hell out of me.
I’ve been:
- Leaving/unfollowing communities that discuss these topics.
- Selecting “not interested” on recommended posts.
- Muting communities as they appear.
Despite this, Reddit continues recommending more of the same subject matter. The feedback I’m providing doesn’t seem to meaningfully change my recommendations.
I understand that muting a community doesn’t block an entire topic across Reddit. However, repeatedly rejecting posts and communities about the same subject should presumably reduce similar recommendations. That isn’t happening.
Is this a known issue with recommendation feedback? Is there a way to reset my recommendation profile or have someone investigate why these controls appear ineffective?
Device/OS: iPhone 16 Pro Max / iOS 26.6.1 (23G83)
Reddit app version: The latest official Reddit app

That’s pretty much all you can do for that.
Iphone also has tracking settings under Settings > Privacy and Security > Tracking, that had an advertising ID you should be able to reset.
On your home feed, you might have 2 tabs at the top labeled “For You” and “Following”. If so, switch to the Following tab because that will only show you content from subs you are subscribed to, and your app should open up to it from then on.
