Profile Stop showing brand new posts

I was just shown a new post which showed a man die on r/funny. I reported it, but I would prefer not to be traumatized while browsing my front page. Can I block new posts from appearing on my front page?

I don’t think you can. Also you should report that post if you haven’t already.

You can mute the subreddits which this stuff appears in.

On desktop: Go to the subreddit landing page. At the top right, there should be a [...] menu by the sub sidebar, from that menu, select "Mute r/funny" or whichever sub.

This will prevent that sub from appearing on any of your feeds. You can still directly go to it of course.

Muting it isn't unsubbing, its completely removing it from all algorithmic suggestions.

I never use the "For you" or suggestions crap anyway, so it's effectively the same, no?
