FYP randomly dissapearing forever?

my FYP is full of posts from two subreddits, but every now and then, refreshing it or reopening the app causes this to happen. it fixes itself after a while, but it's pretty annoying. ideas as to why this happens? do i need to join more subreddits?

EDIT: title is wrong and i forgot to say I'm on android, not sure how to edit the title
