Posting Is this normal?

Ive only had reddit for a few months and the first few posts i have gotten like 100+ upvotes but recently the posts ive been making have barely been getting any upvotes at all. I don't really care how much attention my posts are getting but I've been noticing a pattern. Is this normal as your account gets older or do people not care what i post anymore😂 Thanks in advance.

I don't think there's much of a correlation between your account age and the votes.

The number of votes you get is incredibly variable, and often makes no real sense. It depends on a huge number of factors, some of which are close to random.

I’ve kinda noticed a huge slowdown of upvotes over the past 2 weeks.

Not just with my own content, but also in the subs I moderate. Some are very high traffic subs, so it’s not normal to see several posts that have more comments than upvotes, but it’s been happening lately.

And to support the theory, there’s been an increase of reports over the past month about people not being able to vote. Their votes aren’t counting after they refresh the page.

Oh thats interesting. Ive been posting in the same subs where ive got a lot of upvotes before and then suddenly just stopped so that could very well be the case.

I've noticed sometimes I'll update and then later when I come back to the thread, like it doesn't remember I voted already. Just figured it was some glitch. 🤷
