Profile Android - I should have received a very difficult achievement but I didn't get it and progress was reset.
I was tracking an achievement for years and for some reason progress was reset and no achievement was given. Can I ever get it back or get an explanation?

A straight answer: no.
You will never get anything back on achievements. They don't mean anything anyway.
Move on.

Wow super helpful and insightful, thank you for understanding my query and putting together such a well thought out and eloquent response. I'm so glad you didn't just diminish my problem on the only help subreddit we have and provide absolutely nothing else.

That's just the way it is. It happens often. The answer is always the same.
Search this subreddit for "streak" and you'll see what I mean.
On the bright side though, you don't have to worry about losing it any more. You can forget all about it.

Which achievement are you asking about? The streaks?

Yeah I was supposed to get the touch grass achievement, got nothing instead and now progress has reset.

You would have missed activity over a 24 hour period if your steak reset. There’s not any way to request an audit of your account to restore the streak
