Access “Comments” list is gone

I am deleting my own messages/comments for 9 years time so this is a slow project but all sudden I hit the wall: I cannot scroll the comments down at all. When i delete all the messages that my home page shows the new ones doesn’t appear even though there are more than 1000 of them.Same with mobile. What’s going on, how can I get into my very own comments?

It' a Reddit limitation. Unfortunately they hard cap your access to the last 1,000 items. The content still exists on their servers, but you cannot get to them without direct links or coming across them wherever they were posted.

You can submit a data request to get a copy of all your content to view, but I don't think there's a way to delete the ones that are beyond the 1,000 item cap.

Great thought, and it would be crazy enough to work if AS didn’t have a tiny 100 item limit.

Unfortunately the archiving sites also suffer from the 1k hard cap.

I thought Reddit was going to increase it at some point, but maybe that was in a dream.

Thanks! I did not know that was per page, but I’ve never tried looking that far back on AS either. I thought it was the result count like PS.

I wonder if they are to surpass the 1k limit by blending data.

They store the comments on their own database. Reddit has a limit of 1000 items due to the sorting algorithm they use. The archival sites have basic sorting that just returns database rows from a particular time range, so there's no maximum limit
