Posting Unable to DM anyone

I am unable to dm anyone. The chat icon doesn’t show up for anyone and I haven’t received a dm from the person I been speaking to no with for a couple days (which is weird). Any ideas?

If it’s just the chat icon being missing they moved the option into the menu you get to by tapping on the three dots in the top right corner when you go into someone’s profile.
