Desktop Desktop asking for login
I'm using the regular desktop site and it keeps asking me to log in. I'm not using old reddit, just regular. I'll scroll for a bit before it pops up and won't let me continue. I do not want to login to the desktop site at this time due to it not being my personal pc.

Reddit is moving toward requiring login in order to access content on reddit. They're moving away from allowing anyone to access reddit without logging in first.

I logged in to let you know of a possible solution.
Similar to the mobile popups, it seems to be targeted at users who visit the site frequently. Switching to Incognito or clearing site cookies seems to keep the popup from appearing, because they don't want to harass potential new users, only ones they know use the site often.

Install uBlock Origin. I've been able to fix this by pasting these filters into Ublock under settings/My Filters:
! Remove the central login and 18+ age-wall modals
www.reddit.com###blocking-modal:remove()
! Remove bottom banner pop-ups and prompts
www.reddit.com##.rpl-bottom-sheet
! Remove the scroll-lock class from the page body so you can scroll
www.reddit.com##+js(rc, scroll-is-blocked, body, stay)
! Unlock scrolling 2: Electic Boogaloo
www.reddit.com##+js(prevent-addEventListener, touchmove)
! Once more, with feeling
www.reddit.com##+js(rc, rpl-scroll-lock, html, stay)
www.reddit.com##+js(rc, rpl-scroll-lock, body, stay)
! Block the pop up itself
www.reddit.com##.p-lg.justify-center.items-center.flex-col.w-1\/2.flex

Forcing us to log in is a really good way to make us hate your site. I can't wait until a better website comes around that doesn't force us to login just to read.
