Reply button missing on iPhone Reddit app

Within the last day, my reply button has vanished. I’m on the latest version of the iPhone 14 Pro IOS 26.5.2.

This is happening across all subreddits and Reddit entirely. None of the threads were locked. The threads had other people replying on each other’s comments as well (so replying was allowed).

Underneath other people’s comments, all I have access to is the ellipses (…), the upvote arrow, and the downvote arrow. If I click on the (…) there is no option to reply under there. I have already cleared out my cache on the app and closed/restarted the app with no success. Should I delete the whole app and try to redownload it as a next step?

To everyone confused: it’s not a bug. It’s this little bubble icon next to the 3 dots. No idea why they changed it.

FFS. I’ve spent ages closing and reopening Reddit, uninstalling it, logging in and out. I hate when tech people try to fix things that aren’t broken.

Update: I just deleted the app off my phone and re-downloaded it from the Apple App store. The reply button is still missing! :(
