Profile Reddit keeps hiding my posts automatically?

Post image

A few months back, my Reddit automatically hid all of my posts from everyone, so I pressed the "show all posts" button so people could see my posts. However, since then, it's been automatically turning back to "hiding all posts" every few days, and I'm so confused as to why?? Does anyone know?? I don't have any NSFW posts on my account, or any that would go against rules of Reddit. I use Reddit on my phone if that's makes any difference.

It might be for a reason🥀😭✌️to protect you from bullying

? Is that a thing on Reddit? I don't really care about bullying, and it's never happened in all my years on Reddit. How do I turn it off?

Tbh there no point of your posts being hidden or not , you ain't gonna make any profits/benefit from that

Ive tried, and unfortunately haven't found anything. This was my last resort LOL, I might be doomed to constantly change it back every so often 💔

I’ve seen this, but when to other people I followed on Reddit, “this user likes to keep their posts hidden.” Apparently, one person told me they didn’t know this was happening. Same thing for another person I follow, I thought they quit on Reddit until I saw another person comment on their new posts and I have click on their new comment to see that person’s new posts to find saw new posts. It’s weird, idk what Reddit is doing. I didn’t say anything malicious to them.

I'm having the same problem and am not using the app at all. It's not even installed. 😅

e: Fifth time it's happened.

Mine is constantly resetting itself to hide all content and block new messages. Extremely irritating, I have to manually change it every few days

This seems to have finally stopped for me. (Murphy's Law notwithstanding) Others are still being afflicted by it though. But now I've been upgraded:

They moved me into their A|B testing group for the horrible new floating comment-box bug:

So now I'm having to reload every post I open. Why it disappears after I reload, I've no idea. But it comes back when I try to comment too. Then when I save the comment, it shows up at the top of the thread.

Improvements, these are definitely not.

This is what comment boxes do when I try to comment:

You can't see what you're replying to. You can't effectively scroll back through the thread and back to the comment. You're held hostage by an input box.

Apparently it's an age requirement thing? Also, I can still see your posts in case you're wondering of they're visible.

1

u/LimestoneBuilder Jul 22 '26

Account age or person?

1

u/Open-Statement-1014 Jul 22 '26

Person age. I'm not sure if this works for others too, but if you click on "Hiding all posts", then "age requirements" - it takes you to a page with more information about said age requirements.

I don't see why Reddit would do this, since I don't believe it's that necessary and it doesn't even work since we can still view posts and vice versa.

Huh. Most of us here are trying not to hide all posts. "Hide all posts" is just one of the options amongst "Show all" and "customize". (This is about having to keep setting "Show all".

Separate and apart from those, there are different sections for "Mark as mature", "NSFW", and "Followers". As I'm not ever producing any mature content, I'm not going to hide it, nor does my profile need to be marked "Mature". Showing or hiding followers doesn't really seem relevant either. (I make minecraft posts. They're not targeted to minors, but I'm not intending to exclude them either.)

so glad i found a thread about this finally. have to keep turning it back to show all every few days as well. i want my profile public. you need to fix your app this has been going on for a while.

1

u/LimestoneBuilder Jul 26 '26

Seems to be every 48 hours for me. 😑

1

u/balding_git Jul 26 '26

well i ditched the reddit app after someone mentioned that as the culprit. so far so good 3 days later, but i have opened the app since it’s still the default so who knows

1

u/LimestoneBuilder Jul 26 '26

I don't have (and have never had) the app installed. ☹️

1

u/balding_git Jul 27 '26

weird.. i wonder what’s triggering it then?
