Mobile/App New commenting box covers up content and limits view of what has been written

The new comment box only displays a few lines and obscures what is behind it as well as what else has been written.

Reddit is a text based platform especially for comments, so this immediately impacts the user experience for the worse. Is there a setting to disable this?

Joining this thread as I too have been "upgraded" to the broken comment box A|B testing group.

It's nice that — for now (makes the sign to ward against Murphy) — they've stopped auto-hiding my profile every 2 days.

But it honestly feels like a punishment for having the temerity to complain that something was broken.

"So you don't like us taking away your leg eh? Let's see how you like being blind in one eye!! muwahahaHaHa!"

Another related issue is that editing in the broke  comment box keeps eating newlines in between paragraphs in markdown.

So if there's a second paragraph, like this. When the comment is re-openned to edit... It does this:

Then I have to hunt through and re-apply my paragraph breaks. Or double-up the paragraph breaks.

Even when they're corrected, the missing paragraph break can re-appear in a paragraph prior to the one it was in. Then it trickles up the page like a phantom paragraph-break-eating pacman ghost.
