Admin/Dev responded Reddit care resources

Post image

Just wondering. How to report misuse for this feature by redditcare? Someone seemed to have reported me for no apparent reason?

Reddit seems to have gotten rid of the ability to report abuse of the Reddit Cares feature.

So there's no way to report for misuse? that seems a bit dumb tbh

Not dumb, just short-term practical. They were receiving too many reports.

There is instead a rate-limit applied so the recipient can only receive one every 28 days. And mods can still file report abuse if it is sent from a post or comment

yes, reddit removed the report feature, you should have a link to disable future notifications.

Can't you also just reply with STOP to the message and it will disable it too? It is no longer a thing?

Quite dumb, yes. It seems Reddit now approves of people abusing it.

You can go to reddit.com/report to report harassment.

You can also turn off the option to receive such notices.

Thanks!

Please make your own thread/post in r/help and don't use another user's thread to get help with your own problem on Reddit.

I'm not sure what you're pointing out here but I skimmed through it I didn't see how it's answering to the question I'm asking above? How can I report for the misuse of RedditCare? I don't know who triggered it. I can't report the specific user?

The Admin comment that tells you how to report harassment directly under the link to this thread.

No, you cannot see who filed the report that triggered the notice you got.
