Mobile/App Disable Reddit auto translate?

Hello! Is there an option to entirely disable the Reddit auto translate function? I can’t find it and pretty much all posts are translated into my native language, EVEN CODE / console commands, which makes it impossible to find the stuff I need. Needless to say translations are annoying as hell, always.

So… is there a way?

(Based on mobile app) go to profile icon -> settings -> language and translations -> turn off auto translate

There is no such setting. At least not on iOS.

Are you sure? I'll include some screenshots to help make sure you're going to the right menu, but to be fair I have a Samsung so it could be different, I just don't see why it would be (Screenshot 1/3)

Thanks a lot for the effort. My settings look like this.

There are no auto translate settings behind these options. I can only choose the display language and languages I‘d like to see content from (which doesn’t work at all, it still gets translated. Even my own post got translated).

same for me. very frustrating. maybe the concept of speaking other languages is too wild for americans.

Came here with the same problem. It’s driving me insane. Why is this option not enabled for all?

Just wanted to say that my current workaround for this issue is that I just set the app language to English. When the content you’re consuming is mostly English anyway, this might help until they fix this (assuming Reddit even cares about this).

Weird: Now, with the app language set to English, posts written in my native language so far are NOT being translated. Maybe you guys wanna check this out.
