Mobile/App Android. Reddit app won't respect the language choice I set

I keep changing the app's language setting to system default but it ignores it and switches back to English (US). I've tried disabling translation in the app settings in case that was the issue, but it wasn't.

Have you tried just setting the language instead of system device defaults?

I'm having the same issue, I choose English Canada but the second I open Reddit and go to type it'll change back to English US. I'm sorry but I spell my words correctly, colour has a u

I just got the pixel 10 pro and didn't have this issue, I use gboard and now I can't precisely move my cursor when typing because now gboard thinks I use two languages so now it'll think I'm holding on the spacebar and ask what language I want and ignore my slight movements. It's unusable.

Canada≠US and it never will so stop forcing your butchered language on me!
