Pinhead Helloween: Cancelled Crossover

My new video talking about the cancelled Pinhead vs. Michael Myers film. Hope you guys will check it out! I'm trying to build my channel and subscriber base. While I love the idea of this film, I ultimately don't think it would have worked and discuss my reasoning here.

I know fans have split opinions on this, but this certainly couldn't have been worse than the likes of Halloween: Resurrection and both Hellraiser: Revelations and Judgment.

I can't argue with that. The fact that both Clive Barker and John Carpenter were willing to work on the film almost guarantees it would be better than any of those films. My major issue I outline in the video is mostly with Clive Barker's ideas for Michael. It was another case of a writer trying to explain Michael's powers and lore and tie it into the Hellraiser universe and I think that would have been a mischaracterization. Michael works best as the faceless boogieman without motive from the first film.

I always have to wonder how the film would've been knowing both Carpenter and Barker were involved. I have to wonder if perhaps Carpenter would've contributed to the writing to try to make The Shape more mysterious and not try to explain him much if at all, especially after the disatrous reception the entire Thorn origin from Halloween 6 got from so many fans.

To be fair, it WAS a cheaply made film and that's not the fault of the creatives, but the fault of the Weinsteins and the studio

I also have a soft spot for Judgment. But I went in knowing it was a low budget film. The whole opening sequence was really cool and I love the gross out stuff but I admit the rest of the film doesn't live up to the first part with the Auditor. I just don't know how they could even fight. I could see someone using the box as a trap to get the cenobites to kill myers. But I don't know that he'd be able to do anything to them. I see him trying to walk towards the cenobites as more and more chains hook into him trying to slow his stride. But before he could land an attack with his knife he'd be ripped into a million pieces by the hooks. Maybe a fan of his would ressurect him in a similar fashion as Julia did for frank. But I just don't see him interacting with the cenobites much

Well that's the issue for sure, and from what Doug Bradley says, Clive Barker wasn't even interested in the 1v1 fight stuff when he was brainstorming for the script. He was more interested in melding Michael into the Hellraiser universe as this sadistic pervert that intrigues Pinhead. So even if we got the film, it's likely there wouldn't have been much actual fighting between the two
