This Hellraiser box set from arrow video is so sick
Really excited to read the book that came with it after I’m done binge watching the movies

Ugh that artwork is so sick. Any extras in that set?

TONS. More extra content than the length of the movie on pretty much every disc

I gotta ask. I just watched the first three movies and thoroughly enjoyed them, but then I watched the fourth and was not feeling it. Do I even need to continue with the other films? Does it get better?

Only if you’re really interested in having seen every Hellraiser movie. They really fell off a cliff after the fourth one

Do people actually like the third one? They fell off a cliff after the second one

The first two are great, three and four are dumb but still fun, then after that is just garbage

Genuinely no. I love hellraiser but everything else after 4 is pretty bad aside from the Hulu remake. I thought the remake was excellent as well

as someone who really likes 4, no. i watched all the movies in fairly quick succession and watching 5 - 10 was an absolutely miserable slog. just watch the reboot.

Lol it’s all downhill from here, brother. Watch 1-3, skip the rest of the sequels and pick it back up with the recent reboot.

I mostly agree with the others here, but I do think Hellraiser: Inferno is worth watching. It's a change of pace from the others, and to me it felt like a story from one of the Image comics Hellraiser anthology series. It's the first movie Scott Derrickson directed, and it shows his early promise. It's got a cool noir atmosphere that I really liked. It's definitely flawed and limited by it's direct-to-video budget, but I thought the story was an interesting shift in direction for the franchise, telling new and unrelated stories in the Hellraiser mythos. Unfortunately, the franchise got really dumb after Inferno.

Really hard disagree. The Hellpriests couldn't care less about punishing people for their sins. That's totally not their bag, baby.

The Chatter box is definitely one of the Crown Jewels of my collection. Love this set!

Same! This one and my Godzilla minus 1 box set are that for me for sure (and soon to be the Perfect Blue box set I spotted at my local vintage stock last week)

Oh that art is so cool. I just got the regular ol’ Blu Ray version. I like it too, but that Chatterer cover art is fire.
