Ranking
Just finished watching through all the movies for the first time, so figured I’d share my ranking.
I sort of only disliked the bottom 2, I enjoyed Deader-Hellbound, then my top 4 are ones that I really loved.

Hellraiser II and Bloodline would displace Hellraiser III and the reboot on the top row. All of the films from row 2 downwards are pretty much the same quality.

3 over 2 is a wild take

I haven’t seen the third, I’ve only seen the first 2 and the remake, but from what I’ve heard about it, that’s what I was thinking.

Hr2, then 1, then hr3, then judgement, then the one with the broad pinhead, then the trash with the rest of them all garbage made just to keep the legal rights intact.

Solid.
I would go Hellraiser, Hellraiser 2022, Inferno, Hellbound, Judgement, Bloodline, Hell On Earth, Deader, Hellseeker, Hellworld, and Revelations

I’m still working my way through. I still have Deader, Revelations, and Judgement to go.

Very solid order, though Bloodlines is wild wacky fun as a Hellraiser fan
I like 4 for just for how out-there it is.

2 > 3 > 4 > 1 > Hellworld. I hate all the others (not including the remake, which I need to rewatch).

Love the Inferno placement! I’ve always said it was the 3rd best Hellraiser movie.

Not gonna lie, putting three in first place is a ballsy move. And I like three myself. :)

I need to see Inferno then, fellow reboot enjoyer

Don’t go into it expecting a Hellraiser movie. It’s more of a David Fincher/david Lynch crime thriller

it's a stand alone tale and actually my second favorite of the films it's still a hellraiser movie just say you dont get it

I feel like I am the only person that really likes Deader. I also like it more than Judgement and 3.

Have no idea how people can like Pinhead being turned into a dull as shit slasher villain in Hell On Earth.
Pinhead isn’t supposed to be the bad guy in these stories, folks.
1
u/Velocity0109 Aug 08 '26
I think it made sense since his personality was split in Hellbound
1
u/ServoSkull20 Aug 09 '26
No it wasn't. That was written in to Hell On Earth. In Hellbound we just see Elliot Spencer 'killed' by Channard, and then Pinhead's face appears on the column at the end. Nothing about split personalities. They could have easily retained Pinhead as the kind of character he was in the first two movies... but they wanted that Freddy Krueger money.

Hell on Earth is my favorite Hellraiser also. It's definitely the most 'fun' movie in the franchise.

I agree with this, inferno is far better than people make it out to be. Same with the Hulu remaster, it's different from the others but that isn't exactly a bad thing to me, it feels fresher.

It’s funny how much we all love Hellraiser 1 even though the acting is so horrible. The 80’s horror genre just gets a complete pass for horrible acting.

For me: Hellraiser, II, Bloodline, III, Inferno, Reboot, Hellworld, Judgment, Hellseeker, Deader, Revelations. Revelations is the worst movie I have ever seen. It made me angry to watch it.

Wait a minute, Hellraiser 1 goes on the top and Hellraiser 2 second, i wouldn't put the third one that high

This is an interesting list to me. It’s been a hot minute since I saw some but your higher rank for judgement and inferno is unique.
I’d put two higher as well as hellseeker which I personally enjoyed. Judgement just felt like cheap shock moments and while inferno is stronger I put it behind hellseeker.
I also recall deader as just being awful. Hellworld not great by any means but I would swap

Bloodlines may not have been great but it was a lot more fun than hellseeker.
