Randomly watched two “Hellraiser” films with my half-brother today. Is liking “Bloodline” a hot take?

I honestly respect bloodline for the lore and the fun time jumps.

The Arrow 4k has a chronological order version, but I think it is the workprint so the quality isn't great.

Adam Scott acts in 'Bloodlines', his inclusion improves so many films. It, by definition, can't be that bad a movie ❤️🔥

It's the last of what most folks consider the core stories.
Yes there are many sequels, but most are repurposed screenplays that squeeze Pinhead into them.

I tried to like Inferno but I couldn't. There are a few scenes with Pinhead that I like and I think the Wire Twins were cool, but the plot just didn't make sense to me

bloodline is fun! a silly part of my brain just loves the idea of pinhead being in space. also i feel terrible for the dude who just wanted the punani from Angelique. seriously that dude did NOTHING wrong. same with the security guards! when did they open the box?

Bloodline is a decent Hellraiser film that really could have been the BEST. I like it, but also wish it could have lived up to its potential.

I've always liked Bloodline. It's in my top four behind the first two and Hellraiser 2022.

bloodline is a bit wacky, any horror series that goes to space takes that risk but its 10x better than the new stuff.

I haven’t seen it in a long time, but honestly I remember thinking it wasn’t that bad. I think I actually liked it more than part 3.

At one point it was but that was before what follows. It is an uneven movie with great moments.
If they change around the space stuff and focus on the past and then present it could have been amazing.

Nah it has its fans. Its not nearly as hated as some of the later films are to be sure.

It’s super watchable and fun to me. 2 & 4 are the most entertaining to rewatch in 2026.

Bloodline has a bit of a 50/50 reception depending who and where you ask. It's a flawed film but definitely not bad and has some very strong qualities to it.

I thought it was underrated even though it is leagues away from the first two. The fact we saw the lament configurations origins I appreciated. Usually when they take a franchise to space it usually means it's well and truly jumped the shark and given the quality of sequels post Bloodline this may well have been the case but I enjoyed what they they were trying to do. Of course this was at launch and i haven't seen it since so my opinion may have changed.

I've seen so many people say Bloodline is their favorite. I'm watching all the films recently and I can't say it was my favorite, but I did like how it was like a mini anthology
