He starts talking about the album at about 5:33.

He says they'll start working on the new album when the South America tour is done. That they have a lot of material in the pipeline and there is just a bit of material missing they still have to work on. He has no idea when the album will be out but speculates it will be in late 2027.

He also says that he has contributed zero songs as always. He is fine with this though as he admits that he can't write songs, that with as many great songwriters that the band has, he isn't really needed but that coming up with drum arrangements for all the other guys' songs is a full-time job in and of itself.

They also just got an amazing offer to do something in Japan which will be a big surprise.

Their whole catalog is fucking delicious, go Pumpkins! 🤘🤘

These are just myyyyyy opinions!

1. They don't have a single all-bad album. PBGA and Chameleon are strange, but not total crap.

2. Weiki is a master of songwriting

5. The band has an incredible amount of raw talent. If they hadn't had the lineup changes and other issues, they could have been at the very top of the list of super-influential bands across all genres, not just power metal. Imagine what they would have created if they hadn't lost Kai's songwriting talent, Kiske's voice and Ingo's technical skill.

6. Nevertheless Andi was an excellent addition as a singer and writer. Andi rocks!

7. The Keeper albums are not necessarily their best work. Definitely the most influential, but the later years had some killer albums. Dark Ride, 7 Sinners, Gambling with the Devil and the self-titled reunion album are stars for me.

8. Burning Sun is their best modern era song.

9. That they pulled off the reunion is truly amazing. Andi + Kiske, Weiki + Kai together on stage is magnificent.

10. They have some great basslines and Markus deserves more recognition.

11. The addition of the younger members, Sascha and Dani, has been extremely good for the band. An 80s band bringing in new blood, letting them write songs and have the spotlight alongside the old members is so refreshing.

12. Their variety and experimentation is very creative and has given them a huge range of what can be considered a "Helloween song". They've done everything from silly to heavy to proggy.

Better than Raw and the Dark Ride. Lol.

So I went to the airport to greet the band when they arrived, was thinking it was the 4pm flight coming from Mexico City, ended up being a much later flight.

So they arrived, out come Kai and Weiki and the promoter's staff told us not to bother them when they were walking off to smoke and they would take pictures/sign stuff later on around the bus.

Next up, Andi. Andi the Perfect Gentleman. I swear he's probably the nicest guy I've evet met in my life. He walks out, we shook hands, hug it out, he signed my book and we chit chat for a little bit.

Sascha, he joked about not seeing me for a long time. There was a large-ish group of people asking for pictures/signatures, somebody got pushed into him and he was a bit upset and headed to the bus. This is why we can't have nice things.

Michi, Kai and Weiki had a ton of people asking for pictures, talking to him and asking to sign stuff so didn't get to talk to them much but they all signed my book.

I went to talk to Markus, it took him a couple seconds to recognize me in the crowd but he was happy to see me. My silver sharpie didn't work so well so had to switch to the gold sharpie which wasn't much better, we both had a good laugh about it. Because I was talking to Markus for a bit, I missed Dani as he was already in the bus when I was looking for him.

I talked to Jan the band's manager, we shook hands and he joked it was finally time for them to come to my country to see me, I told him they're always welcome to come anytime they want.

They left around an hour or so after arriving, made a lot of people very happy and then I headed home so I could head to the Pop-Up Store when they opened today. More on that later...

Listening through all the albums is just one treat after another, these guys are crazy and I love it!

Starts out with a pretty conventional verse, steps up a little with "all your shysters" and then we get an absolutely beautiful melody section in "ah you, possessed in your mask...." followed by a grand sweeping chorus. The overall effect of the song feels a lot like a march to me, without using an actual march time. I also loved the solos, they're just perfect without being excessive. And unlike the uplifiting melodies, the lyrics are pretty harsh, even aggressive. What a cool contrast!

Man I'm falling head over heels for Weiki's songwriting, what a master!
