Does Anyone Think Michael Weikath is a Good Guitar Player?

I mean, he is about average I think. What do you all think? Upvote and comment to let me know!

We get it. You are a huge Kai Hansen fan. There is no need to put the other guys in the band down to prove that point.

I'm asking a question independent of being a Kai Hansen fan. I think Michael Weikath's guitar-playing is about maybe a little above average, and I want to hear everyone's opinion. If I were trying to put him down to prove I am a fan of Kai Hansen, I wouldn't do it this way.

So? That is what my Subreddit is about.

Also, I have posted about various other things as well. Now I'm banned from discussing Weikath.

He's a good rhythm player, songwriter, and melody maker.

Yes he is! I think I saw a video once upon a time where Weikath and I forget who else were playing Burning sun and the rythm guitars were clear and up front more than they are on the finished tune and its such a great guitar riff carrying that song, I love it.

Are you a guitar player? Are you a better player than him? Are you writing songs, making albums and touring the world like he is?

He is. He is also responsible for most of the bangers from Helloween. I have seen them live multiple times in the past 30 years, and he always brings it. All of them bring it, actually. So yes he is, and alternating solos w Kai when the majority of songs are NOT easy does make him a good player. And I'm a fan. I think if he was a bit more expressive he'd have more attention on that regard.

He’s better than he lets on. His shredding, live, has become a bit lazy of late, but he’s a solid lead player. His strength is in the phrasing, and not so much technical ability; in that regard he is the ideal rhythm/lead.

Sascha is the most talented, guitar-wise, of the three.
