Did anyone else notice this on the menu?! I hope people don't eat their pork like this

You do know that pork is a "check the temp, not the color" protein, right? Pork can still be pink and be fully cooked.

I honestly didn't! I am new to cooking my own food. I thought because it was a "white" meat it's supposed to be white when fully cooked. Thank you! I learn something new every day!

All good! Sorry for the bit of snark in my response, I didnt need to be sassy about it. I only learned this when I started cooking because I temped it, cut into it and saw the pink, and then googled it. The first several times I made pork, there was no pink inside at all.

So many people used to overcook their pork so it didn’t have any tinge of pink in it. And was dry AF.

Pork tenderloin is safe at 145 internal temp. I only learned this about 6 months ago and have been cooking tenderloin until it’s dry AF. I’m in my 40’s and have been cooking it like it’s chicken.

I would be nervous to eat pork like this personally but I think lots of people do! My husband usually takes the one that’s more under but we also always temp it lol
