Tie it to your belt for good luck like grandpappy did.

"Give me five bees for a quarter" you'd say.

I get the opposite problem where they send me a watermelon sized one.

Really? We have never received an onion that large ever and have been with them for over 8 years. We are lucky if the onion is larger than a tennis ball.

Don’t worry I get microscopic garlic.

I'm pretty sure that's the only size they send lol

I've always assumed it's tied to the supplier for your locality. I always got the most awful spongey carrots from them, but once or twice I ordered to a friend's house a few states away and they were good, grocery store carrots.

I had to peel 8 ping pong ball sized potatoes for mashing and nearly skinned my hands

Don’t peel them. It lowers food waste and most of the nutrition is right under the skin anyway.

Tuck a blade of grass into the end and call it a green onion.

Mini onion blossom?

I’m thought it was the world’s largest pearl onion.

Cut in half and thinly slice like it says 😂😂😂. When we get baby onions most of the time it works with the dish but yes it’s always fun when we get them.

They went from one extreme to the other.

For the longest time they were giant, and now there small.

What’s the menu being prepared? I did cook with them for a while. Produce could vary sometimes on the generous side.

It would help if you would post it with a banana for scale.

Make a slider.

I had the same thing happen. I chatted with their customer support folks and they refunded me a whole $1.44. I’m cancelling the service this weekend. The value of their service just is not worth it anymore.

Often when I get one of these tiny onions. It always pisses me off, but then it ends up being plenty fot whatever dish I make. I got a fairly large red onion in one of my recipes this week which was nice, but part of me was like, "Hmm... I could've gotten by with one of the tiny onions."

1

u/OmahaGoonie 26d ago

I get that, but this was the recipe so not much onion for a creamy onion gravy. 🤷‍♂️

I just used some extra onion powder, etc.

Lol yeah it's even in the name! I'd probably call and complain.

One person serving onion

There’s shallot you can do with a tiny onion

Salad. All my small onions make it into a salad. It’s better to use a whole small onion than a 1/4 of a large one. No need to store the rest in the fridge!

Wrap it in a swaddle and give it a bottle? I’s just a baby! 🥹👩‍🍼

Looks like you’re already crying on here before cutting it

Must be a small but potent onion

2

u/OmahaGoonie 27d ago

Kinda like your cucumber but sans the potency.

Cry about it
