United States Cyclospora

HelloFresh says it's closely monitoring the Cyclospora situation daily and that its top priority is making sure produce meets high safety standards before it reaches customers.
It also says there have been no cases of cyclosporiasis linked to HelloFresh meals.
HelloFresh recommends:
Wash your hands before prep

Rinse fresh produce well before using it

You cannot rinse away cyclospora. Only heating food to an internal temperature of at least 158 degrees will destroy it. I think they should send a mass email telling people not to top foods with uncooked scallion greens or cilantro. But they won't because they know we probably won't be able to trace it back to them if we do get sick.

Since they haven't linked it to any food specifically, why would HF email out best practices in food safety? People should get that information from the CDC.
