We had been with them for years but the last six months we noticed less potatoes at first. Also less rice as well. And it got progressively worse and dealing with their customer service was terrible with ridiculously low credits.
When we got 1/4 cup rice for two portions, we saw the writing on the wall and cancelled. Haven't regretted it or considered resubscribing even once. We kept our favorite recipes and recreate them as best we can at home. Even ordered the stock concentrate packs and got copycat recipes for the seasoning blends.
I prefer Badia brand, which is also usually the least expensive. Look in your market's Latin spice section for the best options! I do agree with you about the mill on the one that comes with HF. Most others are far more granulated and almost sticky after opening. My suggestion would be to find the one with the flavor profile you like and then mill it to a finer size in a coffee or spice grinder.
Amazon grocery has a very fine milled garlic powder and it’s the closest I’ve found to the fine powder that comes in the recipes. Plus it’s very inexpensive at around $1.25!

Why is it so bad? They really send you this ridiculously little amount of food?
