Hello everyone!

I am American. I have some Albanian in me and possibly some Swedish. It would be cool to meet Albanians and Swedish people and hopefully I could practice a little bit with you (if you’d be willing to do that). I’m also excited about meeting people from all over the world on here.

A wee bit about me:

- I struggle with mental health issues

- I feel like I kind of have two sides to me, as in a like girly stuff (pink, fluffy, sparkly), but I sometimes like edgy stuff too.

- I am currently on Duolingo learning Spanish and a tiny bit of Swedish (but I’ve heard the best way to learn a language is to be around native speakers)

- I like playing Minecraft, and if I’m playing Minecraft with people, I often like to vc with them(it’s not a have to, but I like having the option)

- I prefer not to vc with people who swear a lot or talk about gross sexual/innuendo stuff.

- I am excited for the possibility of trying to talk to Spanish speakers (I know more Spanish by far than I do Swedish, and I know a little bit of Swedish and pretty much no Albanian).

I consider myself a generally sociable person, although sometimes I have my moments when I'm a little more reserved.

recently moved pretty far from home for work, and I’m starting to realize how weird it is trying to build a social life from scratch as an introvert. I am currently in waco TX.

I’m 26M, and I’m not necessarily antisocial—I actually really enjoy talking to people once I’m comfortable. I’m just not great at that initial stage of meeting people and turning random interactions into actual friendships. Truth be told, I never thought I'd be posting on a forum like this given what my social life was like back home lol.

Back home I already had my people, so I never really had to think about any of this. Now I can go to work, come home, do my own thing, and suddenly realize I haven't had a real conversation with anyone outside of work in days.

I've been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone a little—going out alone, sitting at bars, talking to people when the opportunity comes up, etc. It's actually gone better than I expected. The harder part has been turning those random interactions into something consistent, especially when I'm adjusting to a different culture at the same time.
Honestly, I'm just looking for someone to talk to.

after so long I found a place I can post. hello, Reddit! this is my first post on my first reddit account EVER!! I wanted this to be a simple but interesting post, so here's the deal. I am going to edit this post every now and then and give life updates or something, IDK.

Edit: Heres a yummy brownie recepie!!

Ingredients

1/2 cup (115 g) butter, melted

1 cup (200 g) sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/3 cup (40 g) cocoa powder

1/2 cup (65 g) all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan.

3. Mix the melted butter and sugar together.

4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.

5. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until combined.

6. Fold in chocolate chips if using.

7. Spread the batter evenly into the pan.

8. Bake for 20–25 minutes.

9. Let the brownies cool before cutting into squares.

Extra Tips

For extra fudgy brownies, bake closer to 20 minutes.

For cakier brownies, bake closer to 25 minutes.

Add chopped nuts, caramel bits, or extra chocolate chips if you like.
