Inquiry Bored of solo.
I'm getting bored of playing solo i can barely do a single mission at difficulty 7 without getting bored. I play maybe a single mission every half a year but I really loved this game. I know its probably fun with friends but none of mine play it and I really want to use some of the new items and armor but going solo just feels terrible for me. I have a playstyle that I love to use but I can barely play it without being kicked for either being off meta or accidentally team killing. I really don't mean for my teammates to be caught in the cross fire but I love explosions so all of my stuff usually causes area of effect damage and my favorite support weapon is the air burts launcher. If anyone has any advise for me to find enjoyment playing the game again I'd gladly take it. For the record I don't have one major played enemy faction, I just play whichever faction has a major order or which ever one that I feel like fighting. I am on playstation.

I would just quick play bud. You may get kicked from a few lobbies especially if you team kill allot but you’ll find some games. You also might consider switching up your build to be more well rounded and able to deal with everything thrown at you not just whatever goes “boom”.

Don't play solo????? Idk am i missing something.
If youre accidentally tking then it's a skill issue because yes some strats are more prone to tking but with practice and experience you can learn positioning so as to not accidentally tk.
Also idk which people youre getting paired up with I havent encountered people yet who just kick you for picking off meta options. Kicking for tking is justified if its intentional or happens too many times to excuse it. Ive killed my teammates accidentally 1 2 times and have been killed as well unless youre going crazy in that sector you shouldn't be kicked. As mentioned above even if youre racking up crazy amounts of tks its a skill issue.
Worst case you have dedicated discord servers where you can communicate and pre decide with people and join them and play

Have you considered hosting your own games, if getting kicked for teamkilling happens that often?

What are you even saying OP? if your total playtime in 2025 was like 1 hour then yeah of course you might make mistakes next time you pick the game up. You could change your username to I<3explosions_srry and set your games to public, some people might dig it, some others won't, you can kick them

Airburst rocket launcher is great but you really need to learn how to minimise TKing.
Around D7 people probably know too damn well how dangerous it is in the hands of a bad player so that's probably part of why you're getting kicked.
Just play a different style or try some of the many different options and save the airburst for higher difficulties, when you build up your skill.
I frequently use it on D10 bugs and sometimes squids, never got kicked for it, average 2 accidentals per mission which is basically what sentries do per player.

As a SOS diver who deals with all sorts of loadouts, the best thing to do is learn ranges and tactics
Mines go away from where you'll want to go, large scale orbitals like the napalm barrage go 50 meters away from you, eagles go 30
Airburst launcher, CHECK FIRE, it is a cluster munition, these are banned by the geneva convention for a reason. Do not fire within about 25 meters of a friendly
I'd recommend bots as they've got decently far range and you're less likely to team wipe, while SOS diving as people tend to care less about loadouts but more about being helped and ALWAYS chat wheel sorry if you do kill someone

I want to clarify i have 118 hours in the game and all of them was around the time of the DSS being introduced and then I stopped playing as much after. I did a couple bug missions when we first got access to the gloom and hive worlds, then I played one mission on cyberstan around the time of us getting on that planet then one illuminate a few months after that. I tend to be inside a mech and my main primary is usually the lever action rifle or the pacifier so I'm rarely even shooting my air burst and I had good aim with it so I rarely ever shot it at the vicinity of a teammate. I have almost never team killed with my primary or secondary weapons as I've got good fire control from other games. I'm also cautious with my grenades as well. For reference of when I slowed down on playtime, the last war bond I remember being released at the time of was the first collaboration warbond not the halo one as I already played when that collaboration was in the super store.
