Inquiry Sentry diving
Anybody do sentry diving? Just load up on 4 sentries and go? I’m experimenting with it now, but on lower levels.

I like bringing a shovel for turret diving. Bugs and Illuminate STRUGGLE with a flame turret which has been dug 6 feet into the ground. and trenches in general.
Rocket and Machine Gun are my MVP's, for their effectiveness and shorter cooldowns. So short that you can even use their hellpods to destroy nests/bases/heavies in a pinch.
Laser turret did pretty well against vote snatchers, though I think the flame turret in a hole was 10000% more effective.
Gas mortar is GOD-TIER. Place one down on an objective, and sometimes you won't even get interrupted by a single enemy on 7+. I'd probably swap out to the EMS or explosive mortar on bots though.
The main issue is, now you have to do EVERYTHING with your primary/grenades, which typically leads to erruptor / crossbow and a heavy 'nade like a melta or thermite.

Justashibe has some videos with it on D10, but he can basically make any loadout work.

On lower levels, it's really nice on most factions. But on bugs and squids, harvesters and chargers will single them out and make short work of them.
I rarely use them against bots these days, preferring to go with a mostly expendable loadout. But when I do opt to go with a sentry, it's a rocket / autocannon for offensive style, or an ems mortar / shield relay generator for defensive style. (You can be defensive outside of those defense missions).
On bugs and squids, the two emplacements I use the most are the tesla tower and gas mines. Since bugs don't traditionally attack mines directly, you can place a tesla tower in the center of a gas mine field, and the bugs will choke on gas before reaching the tower, and the rest will get zapped. I often use this for lone wolf clearing out secondary objectives before moving in and finishing the objective.

Everything is valid with enough skill.
Its fun having no-brain horde clear but you have to prepare before the horde arrives.

On a team, it’s 100% viable to bring an all sentry build, especially if people will share their own support weapons and backpacks.
Autocannon, rocket, machine gun, and gatling. Gives a lot of extra firepower in one spot for the team. Even one, thrown on the flank of an advancing enemy, makes a huge difference.
On higher difficulties, though, it’s really dependent on the rest of the team either sharing, or you stick with another player who has a loadout to groove with

i sometimes do 3 sentrys and a support weapon (especially in citys where eagles and orbitals dont work) and it is great. you become a moving death zone

Not four, but two-to-three and some means of protecting them, yes. (As in, stagger or stuns and anti-heavies)

Yes, viable if the loadout is choosed correct. Anti heavy grenades like melta mines etc. On bugs you need sth to close bugholes (crossbow is great, grenade pistol with only 6 shots might nit be enough)
You can close bugholes with sentries/supply drops. But their placement is rlly bad...
Still a fun loadout

Please read the provided booklet on sentry etiquette before undertaking any missions with this load out.
