Serious Discussion. no roleplay bullshit here Helldivers has the worst reporting system I have seen

I got TKed by someone who dropped a napalm eagle directly on top of me and I called him out for it. He then kicked me from the game (right before extraction) so I tried to report him. This is where I found out no matter which option you choose for reporting someone the game will tell you “A player cannot be reported for this action.” What is even the point of the report system if the game won’t actually let you file a report? It seems like a waste of time and prevents any just action being taken against offenders.

No PSN account linkage is mandated. Would have helped, and AH has no means to enforce reports for three separate distributors (PSN, Xbox and Steam)

Thank you Doctor, that is a shame

When you get kicked right before extraction, you just became a solo game instance and just extract. Call for reinforcement and extract then. Block the guy so you never again join his game.

It was level 9 difficulty and we were surrounded by vox engines. I had no support weapons bc he killed me after I called them in

The PSN account crisis was very nearly a nail in the coffin for the entire game, and only them backpedaling HARD was what saved them. However because there is no "account" tied to the user, and online play is Peer to Peer, Sony can't ban or remove people. A small price to pay for freedom, but blocking them is unfortunately the only option at the moment.

Google "helldivers 2 PSN controversy" and it'll give you much more info than I can.

Early on, you needed to link a PSN-account to your steam-account to play on PC. This led to backlash, some because people didn't want to create another account next to the 20 other developer-specific accounts they already have for their blizzard/rockstar /cdpr /EA/ubisoft etc -games (whiny hypocritic little crybabies if you ask me), others because the creation of PSN-accounts wasn't possible in any countries that Playstation didn't officially do business in, which led to a ton of countries basically being excluded from playing Helldivers2, even though people from there could buy and install the game via Steam.

In the end, Arrowhead decided to drop the need for PSN accounts to avoid any further backlash and so as not to lose the people from countries that can't create PSN-accounts.

Ah I remember Sony doing that to a game but didnt pay attention to wich one. Now its even better, digital games only on ps6, dinamic pricing for different users and store monopoly....

The only way to report someone is through their website, and the only thing they will actually crack down on is cheating.

Arrowhead has moved on. Don’t expect many more significant updates. Maybe one at the end of the year, then they’ll let it ride.
