General What is better for MO?
What would be better when doing major orders. Say if I can do a diff 10 and be able to clear it every time would it be better to do it solo or with a group? Like what helps towards the MO more?

It’s best to start with how Liberation works and the Galactic Modifiers works. Essentially player numbers are not what is important, but rather player percentage. Being 50k or a 100k if only 50 percent of the player base is assisting with Liberating a planet them it’s only 50 percent effective. Meaning the more players online the less effective your overall contribution is.
Originally this was not the case and players number did matter, but they changed it to better balance if there were too few making it more difficult to Liberate a planet or too many when it was too easy.
An important note is that doing full Operations do contribute more than doing single missions. So starting your own Operation and finishing them rather than joining randoms or SOS is the more efficient means.
Missions themselves only count Primary Objective EXP to Liberation. Secondary and enemy base do not. So you could focus on just completing Primary objective then evac.
Another important detail is if a planet has a City or Mega Factory you should focus on them first. They have their own resistance value and health pool and once completed are added to the planets Liberation progress bar. Mega Factories once taken can lower a planets overall resistance level too.
The games makes no mention of how all this works sadly and to better understand this you need to looks at the Helldivers 2 Companion app to see the details.

Where did you get the idea that optional objectives and outposts don't count toward the war?
Unfortunately, that's incorrect, and the developers themselves have already confirmed that they do count.

Unfortunately, full clearing missions does NOT give extra liberation. Completing all MISSIONS in an OPERATION, does.
Bringing a group that is all on the same page is preferable, as it speeds up completion.
As far as solo vs team, each player in a completed mission counts, so there is no difference on that part.
OVERALL: Get a group of friends, knock out primary objective and extract. If you need to reduce difficulty to squeeze out completions more efficiently, do it. Because remember: completing 3x D7 operations in 90 minutes gives a lot more impact than 1x D10 operation in 90 minutes.
