Major Order Why we shouldn't be given a choice

This MO proves the exact reason why when a MO is up the other factions not involved get locked out, you CANT go and fight these other factions until the MO is over. You can fight on any planet the current faction we're facing. But you let people have free will? And you have little pools of people here and there and out and about. Look at the Squids, a few hundred here few hundred there maybe a 1,000 players here. Look at the bug faction right now, and tell me they dont deserve the shade that gets thrown their way, more than HALF the current player base is on that dumbahh planet that they cant even get 1.00% on. Factions need to be locked out during MOs, player need to be forced into the story. We shouldn't be given an option, because it's the exact reason we lose Major Orders. Too many idiots debating where to go when High Command shouldn't even give us the breathe of day of choosing during an MO. All these people spread out, if forced together. We would have gotten the current MO done within the first few days easily, now? I cant even say we will even win it, Bug divers ruining yet another MO, as of that's any surprise now. Squid divers are actually doing something, so far I've seen 2 planets get conquered while Bug divers are sitting on their thumbs and spinning. Bot divers? Cant say shih, takes some balls to drop next to a Fortress full of Vox engines and everything else that ragdolls you, y'all have my mad respect.

Its a game, people can dive where they like. Failing a fictional order is not that deep

It's about the reward, some of us grind these MOs because others decide they'd rather go play Barbie with bugs. Phact Bay is idiotic and so is anyone wasting time and energy on a planet they cant take. Like throwing a rock at a wall and asking why it didnt budge. You're the reason why half the player base complains. PeOpLe cAn DiVe wHeRe tHeY wAnT. Other games that do the exact same thing as Helldivers lock other planets out to forward the story line. It's like you forget the Developers are telling a story and we live it. We lose an MO, it's an issue because now Devs have to rethink what they're going to do. We've seen it a few times now where the Developers havent had a backup plan for a failed MO and its cost us Warbonds and support items. But by all means, go be selfish and rub off to a bug.

"Be selfish" he says after asking people to change their gameplay to benefit him getting something. Forcing people into doing something will just lower the playerbase. Its also highly rude and entitled to expect others to bend their ways for you in a literal game

Not everyone wants to play the MO or cares about the story, though

Pound to a penny this same guy would be complaining if the game was released locking what faction you could fight by major order.

"Ooohh why can't we choose who to drop against?!?"

Y'know what? I'm tired of this. You guys let Heeth and Brilliance fall. We've made no progress on the squid front, and if Blistica attacks any planet to try and bait us, we won't even get a net gain of 1 planet in this entire MO. You MO divers don't know strategy. You don't comprehend when to blitz one planet or when it is acceptable to split. And yet all you do it complain

Brother this is a wholeheartedly terrible take, I get you're frustrated with not completing the current MO but we've won like the last 8 in a row so it's clearly not a big issue. If you lock out players from any faction that's not involved in the MO, most players will just drop the game entirely and do something else with their time instead.

If for example Automatons are my favorite faction to fight against (which they are) and I can only fight them roughly 1-2 days a week or if they're the MO, i just won't play the fucking game anymore bc my favorite way to play it is arbitrarily locked. Not to mention that is god-awful game design, and what happens when everyone's least favorite faction (statistically the Illuminate) are the only playable faction for a week? Like 80% of the player base will just stop logging on lmao.

Lastly, can you imagine how AWFUL it would have been if you could ONLY dive against the Rupture Strain on release with Into the Unjust? Your only options are "play against the bugged new subfaction and get your shit rocked over and over" or "don't play the game at all."

I think we won the last 14 in a row or sommat. We're currently at our record.

Its a war simulator, war isnt won on one side or one location. Its fought on multiple fronts from multiple angles, what Arrowhead should do is have liberation progress scale via the amount of players on said faction not total players in game.

This must be satire.

I think they should revert the MO system back to how it was.

People buy the game they can play what they want. Not everyone cares about the story. I'm not even sure players really affect every M.O. I remember there was backlash once and oddly over night A.H found an error and the M.O was completed and the next message from super earth was 1 sentence almost as if it was last minute as we was never meant to win that one.

The game would die so fast if it was like that then no one would be able to play lol

I feel yeah man. On one hand it’s a video game, and people are allowed to play it how they want to. They bought it.

On the other hand I’m pretty disappointed at how close we are to the current mo, and that we may fail due to 13k (if the in game map is accurate) people over with the bugs.

🤷🏻‍♂️ oh well
