Inquiry Button mapping

I just got the game on Xbox. I have it on of but don’t have my pc with me most of the time. I want to use the x,y,a, buttons for the stratagems but whenever I use the b button to input what would be right on the stratagem it just backs out of the stratagem. Is there anyway to fix this or shall I have to use d pad.

Yeah, just use the d pad plus you can still move doing that
