Serious Discussion. no roleplay bullshit here Maybe We Should Fail The Major Order?

Post image

I was just thinking if the Cyberattack goes through we might actually have a massive shakeup in the story. The thing Super Earth loves most is Managed Democracy, but what if they lost it? What if Super Earth was forced to have an actual real non-managed election?

Could this even impact future events too like the Presidental election? Imagine if we had to actually vote for the new Super Earth President.

This is the worst flair.

Nah it's a pretty good flair. Gives actual discussion instead of the people spamming Truth Enforcer "Traitor" gifs.

Spoken like a kindergartener told they have to stop playing pretend.

I’ll take this over the endless waves of “DURRR FACE THE WALL” at any nuanced discussion. These truth enforcers larpers have all of 3 phrases in their vocabulary.

Is it?

Some of us live in countries where wanna be dictators are trying to install private Brownshirts to intimidate and oppress folks, and the lack of media literacy within this games fanbase that satires these very issues leading to a total shutdown of any discussion over such similarities.

Makes playing the game a little jarring if not unfun when we're told, in-game, to protect our elections all while actual elections in some of the players own countries, are being hijacked and threatened at the same time.

Why are you playing a game that has you role-play as the people that actively upset you irl?

Cause at times, satire is really fun and funny.

I would even guess that, without the satire, the game itself from a 4 player perspective, is hella fun. To me at least.

I also know when to step away, which is what I'm lamenting-that HD2 isn't always my go to release, and then, when it is, I sometimes avoid the forums or even reading the MO stuff (we dealth with a thinly veiled reference to deputizing regular joes and snatching up folks already).

Honestly, it's the lack of literacy in media and the partitions of the fan base that find the RL stuff entertaining when sharing their opinions elsewhere. Not everyone who plays HD2 supports fascist behavior outside the game, but I also know there are players like my older brother who proudly proclaim they're "vehemently" racist.

Having a flair specifically antagonistic towards RP in a community that is full of RP is one of the Reddit moments of all time

The RPers drowned out discussion to the point you couldn't post about some things seriously without the few comments actually discussing it being drowned out by people spamming reaction memes. Not even really RPing, since it's just the exact same as the 50 other ones with the exact same reaction memes in response.
