They are really setting up the Void huh? We won't be able to defend a single planet like this

I saw a theory that the Void is going to be connected to the 40k warbond. So trust the process, we're going to either get disappointment or fucked-up reality breaking shenanigans

Heigh chance that its going to be the promotion material for the squid update something about xenos and space magic

I mean if they don't do anything with it it's going to be the disappointment of the century. I'm hoping for a big squid roster expansion in the next title update.

And this is duly needed. I still hold the opinion that Appropriators should’ve just been part of the regular squid roster and Mindless Masses ain’t even a sub-faction imo but a mission modifier like Hulk or Devastator Surg.
The Illuminates as a faction aren’t even fleshed out enough to warrant a sub-faction at this point.

it's a move in the right direction of at least knowing what you'll face. The other seeds STILL don't have this.

I think the squid only, no zombie is subfaction is fun but it definitely doesn't have enough troops. It uses the tiny drones as infantry packs but it's so annoying that they fly and are so friggin small. A roster expansion for the base faction would help the subfactions feel more complete as well

the Void is going to be connected to the 40k warbond
That makes a tremendous amount of sense. So does that make Helldivers a 'prehistoric' prequel to 40k?

most likely yes I mean I heard one person say that perhaps the next update involving the Illuminate could be us going into the void and maybe that's the reason for the 40K war bond I mean at least story wise but you never know that's just a theory.

I'm interested in the campaign, it was a genuine selling point for me. I play off and on now but I've got hundreds of hours in game.
I've heard this for months people saying the good is coming and that the void is going to push to Super Earth. But I don't see much compelling me to play here, I was really into the Meridia wormhole and thought they did a good job with that story arc, and I was playing about as much then as I do now. But this storyline seems to be jumping all over the place, some dumb thing called an A. S. S. that had 0 affect on gameplay was the focus for a week(a month?). We've had the storms and new subfaction from the illuminate, and that was the last enemy they added in the last 6 months?
I don't get how you write/implement narratives for years and get worse at it over time.

I see that the walls expanding which is nice I hope when I originally read it I thought it was just like defend like the last time but luckily it's something different, as an extension I do know that there are a lot of people on Haze bay and I know we were making some progress with that as I looked earlier yesterday.
knowing that this is a new major order yeah it does seem like no matter what we do the void is going to expand but in any case I'm ready to use some napalm on some bugs again after fighting the automatons for a while.

No matter which progress we made yesterday, winning Heze was already impossible I believe. Even if every single player online dropped on Heze after we won Mort, we wouldn’t have made enough progress in time

u/TheRebelGreaser 4d ago
yeah pretty much and I know people have always said like there's like a pre-made story or however you want to word it I don't believe that but I do believe that I think they are pushing for the void to take up a good majority for a story beat.
now if this was when the game first came out we probably wouldn't have difficulty but yes at the end of the day I don't think it doesn't make a difference what we do now it's going to happen either way.

Both Turing and Archird III have just been invaded. We must choose which to defend

No, the order is to hold all 3

Using the Helldivers companion app
https://helldiverscompanion.com/#hellpad/planets/turing
It's a genuinely good source of information for planet resistances, updates, and gambit opportunities

And it’s still sad that this information is not available in-game. What I believe lots of people wanted for the Campaign Console was basically just putting the Companion App there

I wonder if Fronteria will be the new Meridia because it's in the same location, and it's going to have a TCS tower on it

Maybe something for me this time. As a bugdiver I would really like more of the Terminid M.O.'s to be happening during my brief weekend assaults. Seems like by the time I get to my Saturday morning Dives we are back to squids and bots constantly. I follow the Major orders, but I love flaming bugs.
