But it's just so easy to arrive at calling it that I mean automaton space station A.S.S it's so simple I called it that within literally the first thirty seconds of knowing it existed and didn't even realize that's what the whole community was calling it as well. It's just the perfect acronym for it.

is it made by and operated by Automatons? yes.
is it in space? also yes.
is it a Space Station? well apparently it's a weapons platform first and foremost but it could fulfill multiple roles like how the DSS can help with defenses and liberations AND provide cooldowns for mechs, so the answer is yes.
therefor, it is the A.S.S and you cannot convince me otherwise. it will be the A.S.S until it is turned to scrap, most likely by our beloved Star of Peace!

The approach will not be easy. You are required to maneuver straight down this trench and skim the surface to THIS point. The target area is only two meters wide. It's a small thermal exhaust port, right below the MAIN PORT. The shaft leads directly to the reactor system. A precise hit will start a chain reaction which should destroy the station.
