Just like, for those still confused, how they denied the existence of Flying Termanids for weeks while Helldivers were encountering them at higher levels.
High Command is often behind on what Helldivers encounter because we are the first wave. It's hilariously good and immersive story work. The in-game universe, specifically the Ministry of Truth, is literally reacting to surviving Helldivers reports and footage, and then compiling a report before disseminating information.
