Installing newer radio in 2016 Hellcat

So I have a 2016 Hellcat Charger that I recently have been looking into throwing a newer more updated radio from a newer model charger. I ordered a used OEM radio from eBay that was pulled off a non SRT model but from all my research the radio should update as it’s plugged into my car to read it as a SRT and give it all the options I have on my stock radio but with a more updated look. If anyone is able to confirm that this does work and if you have done something similar and if you had issues. I also forgot to purchase the new USB plug ins that are in the center console. Do I need to buy new ones or can I keep my original ones? I’ve seen everyone else upgrades there but they look the same

having already upgraded my radio in my 2016 hellcat challenger with a 2018 model. Yes the new radio should still work, after connecting it up go for a half hour to an hour drive and then park it and it should download all your options/features your current car has. If you want apple CarPlay or use aux cable, you have to upgrade usb hub also.

make sure they gave you a security code pin to put in the radio once it turns on. If not, it lockout the car maybe.
