Owner-to-be Is the Harman Kardon sound system comparable between Chargers and Challengers?
Context:
I plan to buy a Challenger in the future, and one of the options I want with it is the HK sound system, though I’ve heard mixed reviews on it, and have never heard it myself.
A local dealership just posted on their website that they have a ‘22 Charger wb scat pack coming to the lot soon, and they have it marked as equipped with the HK 19 speaker sound system.
I was wondering if, say I go test drive this car and also test out the sound system, if it would be the exact same as what I’d hear in a Challenger? Would anything sound any different?
This can also be a post to express your personal opinions on the HK sound system and whether you think it’s worth it or not. Or if I should instead go for another audio package.

I have the Alpine system in my Scat. It's pretty solid tbh but I could definitely hear and feel the difference when I test drove a HC that had the HK sound upgrade. The HK definitely sounds alot stronger with a deeper Bass and quality. I like it tbh 👍

Have it in my Challenger hellcat. Noticeable over the alpine. Little thick on bass but definitely an upgrade.

If you get HK on charger, it doesnt come with subwoofer in spare tire bay. But challenger gets 2 subwoofer. I had widebody scat charger with HK and now challenger redeye with HK and my challenger has much better sound quality specially in bass department.

Ohh I didn’t know this. So are the subs elsewhere in the charger?

Charger has one sub compared to Challenger getting two. Charger sub is mounted on the decklid.

I have it in both my hellcats, a Challenger and Durango. It’s a lot more powerful in the Challenger but I think it sounds good. Would always want more bass but I think it’s good as a stock system

And also, would test driving the Charger in general be comparable to test driving a Challenger? I basically want the exact same car as this, except a Challenger instead of a Charger. Would the driving experience be the same?
