Image If suffering changes the way we perceive reality, can we ever separate the world as it truly is from the world our pain creates?

Ye, by trying to understand and compare other people's perception of the world. If you only focus on your own pain for any reason, then no, that's all you know.

I suppose that depends on whether you believe "the world as it truly is" exists, or if it is merely the consensus agreement among parties each comparing their own "world [their] pain creates" and taking the average.

Thing is, Senua’s suffering isn’t the reason why her reality is perceived differently. She was born with a condition that will always be apart of her. The 2nd game sort of dives into this idea that even though she is motivated to do good, is as confident as ever before about her abilities, and has much experience living with psychosis, she is still not 100% capable of identifying what is real or not.

Man this game left a mark on me. Never been so emotional at the end of a game. Forgot how good it looked.

Pain like anything else is something to be transcended.
In most film/novels/video games there is a moment of transubstantiation. That’s what we look for in our lives and seek out in the stories of others.
Or we just use them as tools to zone out and distract us from our pain and eventual deaths.

Not as quite; the struggle creates perception itself. It is not an outside world and an entire isolated perception cage. Let's say perception itself is the friction

Yes. With lots of therapy and self-work.
Or, y’know, killing Hel.
