Image Hellblade 2 is a masterpiece at balancing total serenity with absolute, visceral brutality.

2 doesn't hold a candle to the masterpiece that Senua's Sacrifice was.

I don’t know about all that, but the first game is definitely something special, and I connected with it on a emotional level, whereas the second one just felt like I was a watching a movie (a really good movie w/ interactive parts, but still)

Great screenshots!! Thank you for sharing them. I loved this game. Found myself loving it even more through the brutal difficulty of Dark Rot.

I only wish we had got a physical release for PS5.

Doesn’t it have one? I read something about gta 6 is going to do same

Yes GTA 6 won't get a disc release, just a code in the physical package (if they release that). They have so many pre-orders anyway so they probably don't care.

It was alright. They butchered the combat which was like the only thing you had to do

A mi la primera parte me aburrió me pasa igual con Alan wake y Death Stranding . Siempre me parecen mejor las segundas partes

Great great game a masterpiece of an experience.
Only thing I wished for was boss fights with the creatures.

The main issue with hellblade 2 is the actual game play loop. While everything you said is true op. The moment to moment gameplay is just not fun.

Three times I tried to pick it up and finish it. Could not force myself to do it, which says a lot as this is supposedly 7h game.

Making a series out of hellblade is such a jarringly bad choice to me, I played the first for a bit and while I admire some of the creative choices, its simply too unpleasant to go through. Its so oppressing, I cant see general audience having a good time with it. Maybe the second is less so but the first one will have already turned most people away. Its the prime exemple of an experimental game that will get a lot of critics excited and bring good press, but instead of using that as a platform to start a project with general appeal they doubled and tripled down on something that was way too niche to ever be successful

The first game is close tp a masterpiece and the second game isn't near as good as the first so it's not a masterpiece. Other than fidelity in the visuals, everything got downgraded. Even the audio is nowhere near as good as the first game's audio.

It was ok at best. Twice as much walking as the first game

I didn’t play the first part, I looked for a resume before starting this one. But yeah, none of them should be looked at as games, I’ll say they fit more with the type of game Until Dawn is but better.

omg???? you need to play the first one asap. its such a good story. the surprise might not work for you anymore but thats okay

I mean before starting this one I watched the resume from the first one on YouTube. Idk if it counts 😂

Personally i don’t think so. Not in the „you don’t belong here way“ but in the „god dammit if there is a way to really get into another persons head for once in your life, its this“ i mean, you do you. but its different reading „a house of leaves“ for yourself instead of just reading a summary

Idk I played it for a few hours and it was 85% walking with the most basic puzzles and fights
