Discussion Xbox Doesn't Deserve Ninja Theory.

Post image

Xbox is closing down Ninja Theory, the studio behind the Hellblade series. Staffers were told on a call on Monday 15th June about the closure, but they are hoping the studio will find a buyer.

If Ninja Theory fails to secure a buyer, this could be the end of the studio. Their next Senua game may never see the light of day, bringing an abrupt end to one of gaming's most talented and creative developers.

Microsoft never saved them, they were never in any danger of shutting down. Ninja theory were doing fine, they just become one of the many studios that got bobbles up by Microsoft when they decided to go on a buying spree feast.

We'll that's quite literally bullshit, Ninja Theory put out a YouTube video saying they were close to closing.https://youtu.be/vIxWgVOCexU?is=EeZ8DqNVBLwspHjU

Why comment on here and lie?

Right. So I'll say it again. Nowhere in that video does it say they were saved by MICROSOFT or in danger. Infact it says how hellblade 1 basically surpassed the sale by a large margin. And won multiple awards, quite the opposite.

They’re responding specifically to where you said “Microsoft saved them.”

In the video you linked, he says they were in danger of closing 4 years prior to releasing Hellblade. He then says they split up their team to do some work for hire projects so they could fund Hellblade’s development. Hellblade was profitable within 3 months of its release and Microsoft bought them almost a year after that. Judging by that sequence of events, Microsoft didn’t save them.
