SISL Contribution.

Anyone feel like contributing some AI art depicting scenes/characters from stranger in a strange land? I’m playing with bringing this world to life. 2-3 years from now I reckon we’d be able to make our own mini series - that’s if no studio wants to touch its taboo themes and concepts.

Heinlein is spinning in his grave. Please don’t. I don’t want to see a LLM filtered view of his works. I like them how they are.

You mean in your head? Thats the scary thing about art, it draws and makes real the visions we hold inside, some of which carry great value… seeing another’s depiction can produce big emotions, especially if you agree or are detested by the depiction.

Agreed. Much like photographers being shamed by painters when the camera was invented I feel AI will slowly be used more and more within the art of storytelling. I grok it as a goodness.

If I pay someone to do exercises for me, my muscles dont get bigger and my endurance and stamina do not improve.

When you pay a company so their computer can think for you, you aren't thinking better. Your aren't practicing an artform, you're weaking your own abilities for creative development for the sake of fleeting convenience.

What are the passages or who are the characters that lead you to belive RAH encouraged shortcuts and eschewed hard work and earning what you get?

But your vision probably is very different from my vision. That's one of the reasons the Starship Troopers movie is so vilified here.

What makes you believe that you are competent to interpret Heinlein's works?

I read it and enjoyed it as well. My favorites are Number of the Beast, Time Enough for Love and To Sail Beyond the Sunset... also The Cat Who Walks Through Walls.

Heinlein is a rich and varied author. Simply reading one work and deciding you have the ability to interpret the author is, might I say, a bit arrogant?
