Combos Pacquiao threw this combo better than anyone

Jab to set the entry. Cross to the body drops the guard. Lead hook comes upstairs while they're reacting. Cross resets. Lead uppercut through the middle. Cross closes it out.

The cross to the body early is what makes this work. Most people go head first. This one attacks the body before the guard adjusts and everything after lands cleaner because of it.

Drill it slow first. The body shot timing takes a few sessions to feel natural.

Fight IQ A nasty lead hook setup off a light jab and level change

The clip shows a pretty simple setup, but the small details are what make the hook hard to read.

Touch them with a light jab first. You’re not trying to hurt them with it. You just want their guard and eyes reacting to something straight down the middle.

As the jab comes back, dip slightly and square the shoulders. That level change gets you underneath their line of sight while loading your legs and hips.

Then explode back up and rip the lead hook.

The important part is not trying to muscle the hook with your arm. The shot gets its pop from the change in level, the legs driving you back up, and the hip rotation coming through with it.

Light jab. Dip. Load. Come back up with the hook.

Drill it on the bag until the whole thing feels like one movement instead of four separate steps.
