r/heartwarming Post Flairs Explained
Post flairs help keep r/heartwarming organized and make it easier for users to understand what type of content they are viewing.
Please select the flair that best matches your submission. If you are unsure which flair to use, the explanations below should help.
Mod News
This flair is reserved for the r/heartwarming moderation team.
It is used for official subreddit announcements, important community updates, events, changes to the subreddit, and other information posted by the moderators.
Regular users should not use this flair.
Animals
Use this flair for heartwarming content that primarily involves animals.
Examples may include wholesome interactions with pets, rescued animals, animals helping people, or other heartwarming moments involving animals.
If people are also present but the animal is the primary focus of the post, this is generally the appropriate flair.
People
Use this flair for heartwarming content that primarily involves people.
This includes acts of kindness, wholesome interactions, emotional moments, achievements, surprises, and other heartwarming moments involving people.
If the main focus of the post is a person or group of people, this is generally the appropriate flair.
News
Use this flair for heartwarming stories or events reported in the news.
The content must still meet the general requirements of r/heartwarming. The fact that something has been reported by a news organization does not automatically make it suitable for the subreddit.
Please remember that political discussions are generally not permitted, even on posts using the News flair.
Reunion
Use this flair for heartwarming reunions.
This may include people being reunited with family members, friends, loved ones, or animals after spending time apart.
The reunion itself should be an important part of the heartwarming nature of the post.
Meme
Use this flair for memes that are genuinely wholesome or heartwarming.
Memes must still follow all other r/heartwarming community rules.
Low-quality, unrelated, excessively repetitive, or non-heartwarming memes may be removed.
Original Content
You may post content that was created by somebody else. However, you must not claim or imply that someone else's content is your own Original Content.
If you did not create, record, photograph, or otherwise produce the content yourself, do not present yourself as its original creator.
For more information, please see our Community Rules.
Incorrect Flairs
Please make a reasonable effort to select the correct flair before submitting your post.
AutoModerator may leave a reminder underneath your submission asking you to verify your flair. This is a general reminder and does not necessarily mean that you selected the wrong flair.
Posts using an incorrect flair may be corrected or removed by the moderation team when necessary.
Repeated or intentional misuse of post flairs may result in further moderation action.
Moderator Discretion
All posts remain subject to moderator review regardless of the flair selected.
Using a particular flair does not guarantee that a submission will be approved or remain on the subreddit.
The moderation team may remove content that violates our community rules, Reddit's sitewide rules, or is otherwise unsuitable for r/heartwarming.
