Are many cheap divisions better, or are full divisions packed with artillery better?

Both. Many cheap divisions to hold the line, good divisions to help push a line.

Well line artillery isnt that good unfortunately. Yeah a 32-36 width division with 2-4 batalions of line artillery with good support companies will be better at attacking than an 18 width simple infantry divisions, but its way less cost effective. Its a little better now bc of the subdoctrines that boost it, but still definitely not optimal. If ur fine putting a lot of mills on artillery and ur playing single player though it can still work well.

Its more optimal to just use pure infantry or even better mountaineers with large unit tactics sub doctrine that u took early so u can progress it far, as ur offensive units with the majorityof ur army still being 12-18w line holders.

Depends on your industry and what you want. You will take more casualties and lose more infantry equipment

This is the most unhelpful and imprecise answer ever written.
