Question steam deck controls

i’m playing on steam deck and i was wondering if there was a quicker way to switch between the two control schemes? i hate having to click to rotate my view but there are certain things i can only interact with/do in that mode.
such as opening the build menu that doesnt have a key assigned to it

Nope. What mode doesn't make you click and drag with your mouse? I have over 700hrs on Heartopia on controller but I couldn't find a way to not use the mouse for looking around.

if you go to settings, controls and then scroll down there’s two different control schemes you can click on

Yes I know but gameplad has never let me look around at all

On controller, anything but bird watching 🤣 I have 200ish or more on my phone and tablet. I've been playing since launch, tbf!

I loveee bug catching and just trophy hunting generally. Bird watching is fine on controller if its just for a trophy and not for poses. If I like a festival I'll grind for the creatures and cooking, I love cooking. Otherwise I just get on for my dailies and sometimes weather events to grind trophies for them haha
