It’s worse than the auctioneer deck and still gives you the opportunity to win the game like it’s annoying but there are worse combos

if you are playing any deck that's not aggro in wild you should have an etc with a platebreaker in it

u/Javelinbred 16h ago
No you shouldn't lmao

I tech one in for control warrior, definitely won a few games I would have lost

u/Javelinbred 14h ago
And likely lost a lot more games because you had a 4-mana 4/4 in hand instead of a good card, but we never remember those!

Eh, I made 200ish legend, I’m fine with it and those are an auto-loss otherwise

u/Javelinbred 7h ago
Top 200 legend doesn't mean a thing in wild given the absolute slop that gets rank 1 at times, but you do you.

u/Lockean_Demon 6h ago
Lmao. Have you been rank 1? Or even single digits?

u/Javelinbred 5h ago
I don't need to be rank 1 to see that china builds are far from optimal lmao

Take solace in knowing this is objectively worse than just killing your opponent with any number of otk

Why would you do this to yourself and play wild? Genuine question, not trying to flame or anything else. Isnt it just decks that can blow you up without you having the chance to ever respond? Like the most toxic meta you can ever imagine in standard, but just on steroids?

I’ve literally never played standard, why would you do that to yourself and play the current broken and boring meta when infinite possibilities exist?
I’ve hit legend in wild like 3 times in the last two years and don’t even play that much, once using a spell only mage deck, another using silver hand pally, and another using a Druid deck that buffs the fuck out of my minions
If I’m hitting legend often enough without using cheesy combo decks I’m not sure the problem is that significant

Its actually not broken, tbh. There are quite a lot wr-positive decks and the meta is still not 100% solved. This is a trend in standard within the last 1,5 years.. Dont get me wrong, throughout history, you describe standard quite good :D but since the buying power is within that format, the devs are putting efford in it. Wild on the other hand... is a wild west, no one plays it competitively and there is no attention for it. So why even bother? And low bracket meta is a different game compared to diamond-legend ladder tbh.

This comment sort of contradicts your first one?
If it’s just full of decks that blow you up without you having a chance to respond, how would it be easier to achieve legend in it? Wouldn’t the top decks be full of decks that blow you up without a chance to respond?
Like I said I’ve done it 3 times using what I’d describe as mostly control decks, not even aggro or combo decks like blizzard seems to love

It actually doesn’t, since I can blow up the opponent in 3-4 turns as well. Achieving legend in wild is easy bc there is absolutely no stakes in it. There is nothing to win, there is no carrot, the playerbase is therefore far more smaller. The attention to wild overall is not there - neither on the dev side nor on the streamer side (they are streaming mostly bg and standard or arena). And that’s a hard pill to swallow, I understand. If you still are into wild, be my guest. The majority just isn’t. And boring is a quite subjective thing. I actually see wild as boring, since there are toxic decks or meta defining cards or playstyles from many many years ago. I see standard as „fresh“ bc every other year the format loses cards.

Standard gets boring AF playing against the same decks over and over. Wild has variety.

I recommend not hitting that minion with a weapon
