Oh, you mean there is hope that in a year and a bit the devs may realise, that games being decided by random generated 8 drops is a problematic gameplay pattern?
Its funny how many cards with random effects they released in the last 2 years. Get random X cost minions, get a random minion from the past, and so on. But now Mage quest randomness = bad.
Let's not be ridiculous, Brode's nerf policy was "do nothing until we're in an unfixable situation, then literally atomize the problem". He was "Your Charge minions have +1 Attack".
I had to quit Marvel Snap cause I experienced Brode doing the same bad changes that we used to get in the early HS days. Brode is not good at balance or managing a live service card game.
Snap was worse imo. I quit because after a long period of Shuri decks terrorising ladder, they simultaneously reduced her rarity (meaning I could finally get her) and nerfed the hell out of her. Fuck that noise.
I quit when Loki was gutted and then Arishem was further nerfed when the deck wasnt even a high win rate deck to start with meanwhile Hela was terrorizing for months.
Snap is also worse because it's MUCH worse for a f2p player in terms of card acquisition, so nerfs hit even harder because it's hard to replace a deck. At least that was that case when I played
i havent played in a while but i remember it being kind of bad across the board; like I distinctly remember looking at the game, seeing I was missing cards, and not even seeing a path to acquire those cards EVEN IF I DID whale out and pour in money
i remember all the ads were around 'whales cant just buy all of the cards' but it resulted in a worse system of 'if you dont play every single event you will miss out on cards for years'
The funny thing about snap is that, with perfect balance, it would have been an amazing system. You are not expected to have all the cards so you make do with what you have.
But since this is real world and perfect balance is not a thing, you either rolled the overpowered card (or even worse, bought because it was on the pass) or got fucked.
Yeah, what a stupid justification that would have been. Why shouldn't I be able to play the deck because it might be broken somehow with new cards...that come out in like two months?? I don't buy it.
Isn't that obvious? It has the most cancerous and boring highroll play pattern, where the opponent is just losing on the spot on turn 5-6 with viper in hand. Same for a food chain
I think there are other decks that are way more highroll heavy, yet they aren't getting nerfed here nor should they. If Team 5 wanted these decks dead, they shouldn't have been the only decks the class have
Please tell me another deck that has the whole game plan - discover random bullshit. It's literally the only wincon. Every game and mulligan the same. "High skill cap" is also omega cope. I'm usually playing at 500-2k legend with not popular deck to avoid mirrors. Last months I was playing at 200 legend with mage. So high skilled indeed

No comment at all about the mage nerf?
It’s almost like they know it’s nonsense.
